1)What were the questions that the Tsar wanted to be answered? Why did he need the answer? Why was he dissatisfied with the answers given by the scholars and learned men? [3+1+2 = 6] [H.S. = 2020]

জার কোন প্রশ্নগুলোর উত্তর চেয়েছিলেন? কেন তাঁর এই উত্তরগুলোর প্রয়োজন ছিল? পণ্ডিত ও জ্ঞানী ব্যক্তিদের দেওয়া উত্তরে তিনি অস্রান্তুষ্ট হয়েছিলেন কেন? [৩+১+২ = ৬] [H.S. = ২০২০]

Ans. The Tsar wanted to be answered three questions. They are – 

• 1)What is the right time to begin anything?

• 2)Who are the right people to listen to and whom to avoid? 

• 3)What is the most important thing to do?

He needed the answer because if he knew the answers to these questions, he would never fail in any task.

He was dissatisfied with the answers given by the scholars and learned men because their answers were mismatched to one another and the Tsar agreed with none of them.

উত্তর: জার তিনটি প্রশ্নের উত্তর চেয়েছিলেন। সেগুলি হলো –

১) যেকোনো কাজ শুরু করার সঠিক সময় কোনটি?

২) কার কথা শোনা উচিত এবং কাকে এড়িয়ে চলা উচিত?

৩) করার মতো সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কাজটি কী?

​জার এই উত্তরগুলো চেয়েছিলেন কারণ তিনি জানতেন, যদি এই প্রশ্নগুলোর সঠিক উত্তর তাঁর জানা থাকে, তবে তিনি যেকোনো কাজেই কখনো ব্যর্থ হবেন না।

​পণ্ডিত ও জ্ঞানী ব্যক্তিদের দেওয়া উত্তরে তিনি অসন্তুষ্ট হয়েছিলেন কারণ তাঁদের দেওয়া উত্তরগুলো একে অপরের সাথে মিলছিল না (ভিন্ন ছিল) এবং জার তাঁদের কারও উত্তরের সাথেই একমত হতে পারেননি।

2)What were the questions that had occurred to the Tsar? Why did he need correct answers to those questions? What did he do when he was not satisfied with the answers of the learned men? [3+1+2 = 6] [H.S. = 2016] 

জারের মনে কোন কোন প্রশ্ন জেগেছিল? কেন তাঁর এই প্রশ্নগুলির সঠিক উত্তরের প্রয়োজন ছিল? জ্ঞানী ব্যক্তিদের উত্তরে সন্তুষ্ট না হয়ে তিনি কী করেছিলেন? [৩+১+২ = ৬] [H.S. = ২০১৬]

Ans. The Tsar wanted to be answered three questions. They are – 

• 1)What is the right time to begin anything?

• 2)Who are the right people to listen to and whom to avoid? 

• 3)What is the most important thing to do?

He needed the answer because if he knew the answers to these questions, he would never fail in any task.

The Tsar decided to consult a hermit when he was not satisfied with the answers of the learned men.

উত্তর: জার তিনটি প্রশ্নের উত্তর চেয়েছিলেন। সেগুলি হলো –

১) যেকোনো কাজ শুরু করার সঠিক সময় কোনটি?

২) কার কথা শোনা উচিত এবং কাকে এড়িয়ে চলা উচিত?

৩) করার মতো সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কাজটি কী?

​জার এই উত্তরগুলো চেয়েছিলেন কারণ তিনি জানতেন, যদি এই প্রশ্নগুলোর সঠিক উত্তর তাঁর জানা থাকে, তবে তিনি যেকোনো কাজেই কখনো ব্যর্থ হবেন না।

​জ্ঞানী ব্যক্তিদের উত্তরে সন্তুষ্ট না হয়ে জার একজন সন্ন্যাসীর (Hermit) পরামর্শ নেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছিলেন।

3) “All the answers being different, the Tsar agreed none of them.” – What were the questions to which the Tsar got different answers? Whom did the Tsar decide to consult when he was not satisfied? Where did the person live whom, the Tsar decided to consult? What was he famous for? [3+1+1+1 = 6] [H.S. = 2018 & 2022 ] 

​“সব উত্তর আলাদা হওয়ার দরুন, জার কারও উত্তরের সাথেই একমত হলেন না।” – কোন প্রশ্নগুলোর ক্ষেত্রে জার ভিন্ন উত্তর পেয়েছিলেন? সন্তুষ্ট না হয়ে জার কার পরামর্শ নেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছিলেন? জারের পরামর্শ নেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া ব্যক্তিটি কোথায় বাস করতেন? তিনি কিসের জন্য বিখ্যাত ছিলেন? [৩+১+১+১ = ৬] [H.S. = ২০১৮ ও ২০২২]

Ans. The questions were – 

1)What was the right time to begin anything? 

2)Who were the right people to listen to and whom to avoid? 

3)What was the most important thing to do?

➡️When the Tsar was not satisfied with the answers to these questions, he decided to consult a hermit.

➡️The hermit lived in a wood.

➡️He was famous for his wisdom.

উত্তর: প্রশ্নগুলো ছিল –

১) যেকোনো কাজ শুরু করার সঠিক সময় কোনটি?

২) কার কথা শোনা উচিত এবং কাকে এড়িয়ে চলা উচিত?

৩) করার মতো সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কাজটি কী?

➡️এই প্রশ্নগুলোর উত্তরে সন্তুষ্ট না হয়ে জার একজন সন্ন্যাসীর পরামর্শ নেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নেন।

➡️সন্ন্যাসী একটি বনে (জঙ্গলে) বাস করতেন।

➡️তিনি তাঁর প্রজ্ঞা বা জ্ঞানের জন্য বিখ্যাত ছিলেন। 

4)How was the wounded man revived and nursed? Why did he ask forgiveness of the Tsar? What did the Tsar do when he had gained the man for a friend? [2+2+2 = 6] [H.S. = 2019 & 2022 ] 

আহত লোকটিকে কীভাবে সুস্থ করে তোলা হয়েছিল এবং সেবা করা হয়েছিল? সে কেন জারের কাছে ক্ষমা চেয়েছিল? জার লোকটিকে বন্ধু হিসেবে পাওয়ার পর কী করেছিলেন? [২+২+২ = ৬] [H.S. = ২০১৯ ও ২০২২]

Ans. A bearded man came running out of the wood and fainted before the Tsar and the hermit. He had a large wound in his stomach and blood was flowing. They removed his clothes. The Tsar washed and bandaged the wound again and again until the blood stop flowing. In this way, the wounded man was nursed and finally revived.

The bodyguard of the Tsar recognized the man as the Tsar’s enemy and wounded him severely. It was the Tsar who took care of him to revive his life. He realized that he would have died if he was not looked after by the Tsar. This act of kindness changed the heart of the bearded man. He repented for his actions and asked for forgiveness.

The Tsar was very pleased to gain the man as a friend. He offered to send his servants and his own physician to attend to him. He also promised to give back his seized property.

উত্তর: একজন দাড়িওয়ালা লোক জঙ্গল থেকে দৌড়ে এল এবং জার ও সন্ন্যাসীর সামনে জ্ঞান হারিয়ে পড়ে গেল। তার পেটে একটি বড় ক্ষত ছিল এবং সেখান থেকে অনবরত রক্ত ঝরছিল। তাঁরা তার পোশাক খুলে ফেললেন। রক্ত পড়া বন্ধ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত জার বারবার ক্ষতস্থানটি ধুয়ে ব্যান্ডেজ করে দিলেন। এভাবে আহত লোকটির শুশ্রূষা করা হলো এবং অবশেষে তাকে সুস্থ করে তোলা হলো।

জারের দেহরক্ষী লোকটিকে জারের শত্রু হিসেবে চিনে ফেলেছিল এবং তাকে মারাত্মকভাবে আহত করেছিল। জারই তার জীবন ফিরিয়ে দেওয়ার জন্য তার দেখাশোনা করেছিলেন। সে বুঝতে পেরেছিল যে জার যদি তার দেখাশোনা না করতেন তবে সে মারাই যেত। জারের এই দয়াময় আচরণ দাড়িওয়ালা লোকটির মন পরিবর্তন করে দিল। সে তার কাজকর্মের জন্য অনুশোচনা করল এবং ক্ষমা চাইল।

লোকটিকে বন্ধু হিসেবে পেয়ে জার খুব আনন্দিত হলেন। তিনি লোকটিকে সেবা করার জন্য তাঁর নিজের ভৃত্যদের এবং নিজের চিকিৎসককে পাঠানোর প্রস্তাব দিলেন। তিনি লোকটির বাজেয়াপ্ত করা সম্পত্তিও ফিরিয়ে দেওয়ার প্রতিশ্রুতি দিলেন।

5)How did the Tsar nurse the wounded man? [6] [H.S. = 2015] 

জার কীভাবে আহত লোকটির সেবা করেছিলেন? [৬] [H.S. = ২০১৫]

Ans. A bearded man came running out of the wood and fainted before the Tsar and the hermit. He had a large wound in his stomach and blood was flowing. They removed his clothes. The Tsar washed and bandaged the wound again and again until the blood stopped flowing. He worked patiently, tearing his handkerchief and using fresh water to clean the wound. The Tsar continued to nurse the man until bleeding ceased and the man regained consciousness. In this way, the wounded man was carefully nursed, comforted, and finally revived through the Tsar’s kindness and tireless service.

উত্তর: একজন দাড়িওয়ালা লোক জঙ্গল থেকে দৌড়ে এল এবং জার ও সন্ন্যাসীর সামনে জ্ঞান হারিয়ে পড়ে গেল। তার পেটে একটি বড় ক্ষত ছিল এবং সেখান থেকে প্রচুর রক্ত পড়ছিল। তাঁরা তার পোশাক খুলে ফেললেন। রক্ত পড়া বন্ধ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত জার বারবার ক্ষতস্থানটি ধুয়ে ব্যান্ডেজ করে দিলেন। জার অত্যন্ত ধৈর্যের সাথে নিজের রুমাল ছিঁড়ে এবং পরিষ্কার জল দিয়ে ক্ষতস্থান পরিষ্কার করেছিলেন। রক্তপাত বন্ধ হওয়া এবং লোকটির চেতনা ফিরে না আসা পর্যন্ত জার সেবা চালিয়ে গিয়েছিলেন। এভাবে জারের দয়া ও নিরলস সেবার মাধ্যমে আহত লোকটিকে অত্যন্ত যত্ন সহকারে শুশ্রূষা করা হলো, সান্ত্বনা দেওয়া হলো এবং অবশেষে সুস্থ করে তোলা হলো।

6)Why did the bearded man become an enemy of the Tsar? What did the man swear and resolve to do? Why did he ask forgiveness of the Tsar and what did he promise him? [1+2+3 = 6] [H.S. = 2017] 

দাড়িওয়ালা লোকটি কেন জারের শত্রু হয়ে উঠেছিল? সে কী প্রতিজ্ঞা ও সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছিল? সে কেন জারের কাছে ক্ষমা চেয়েছিল এবং সে জারকে কী প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিল? [১+২+৩ = ৬] [H.S. = ২০১৭]

Ans. The bearded man became an enemy of the Tsar because the Tsar executed his brother and seized his property.

The man swore to take revenge on the Tsar for his brother’s execution and for seizing his property. He also resolved to kill the Tsar on his return from the hermit.

When the man was severely wounded by the bodyguard, it was the Tsar who nursed him carefully and revived his life. He realized that he would have died if he was not looked after by the Tsar. This act of the Tsar changed the wounded man’s mind and he asked for forgiveness.

 The man promised to serve the Tsar as the most faithful slave and he would also employ his sons to do the same. 

উত্তর: দাড়িওয়ালা লোকটি জারের শত্রু হয়ে উঠেছিল কারণ জার তার ভাইকে মৃত্যুদণ্ড দিয়েছিলেন এবং তার সম্পত্তি বাজেয়াপ্ত করেছিলেন।

লোকটি তার ভাইয়ের মৃত্যুদণ্ড এবং সম্পত্তি বাজেয়াপ্ত করার প্রতিশোধ নেওয়ার জন্য প্রতিজ্ঞা করেছিল। সে সন্ন্যাসীর কাছ থেকে জারের ফেরার পথে তাঁকে হত্যা করার সিদ্ধান্তও নিয়েছিল।

যখন দেহরক্ষী লোকটিকে মারাত্মকভাবে আহত করেছিল, তখন জারই তাকে যত্ন সহকারে শুশ্রূষা করে সুস্থ করে তুলেছিলেন। সে বুঝতে পেরেছিল যে জার যদি তাকে সেবা না করতেন তবে সে মারাই যেত। জারের এই আচরণ আহত লোকটির মন পরিবর্তন করে দেয় এবং সে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করে।

লোকটি জারকে প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয় যে সে সবচেয়ে অনুগত দাস বা ভৃত্য হিসেবে জারের সেবা করবে এবং তার ছেলেদেরও একই কাজ করতে নির্দেশ দেবে।
